How we write these guides

Each guide states where its facts come from. Usually that's a named YouTube Help page, the UK Intellectual Property Office or the relevant law, together with the date we checked. Where we've tested something ourselves, such as which thumbnail sizes YouTube's image server returns, we say so and give the date. YouTube changes its features and limits often, so every guide shows a "Last updated" date. We aim to review them whenever YouTube's documentation changes. If you spot something out of date, please let us know.
