Tools
Free YouTube Tools
Four small tools that each do one job properly. They run in your browser, need no account, and don't store what you type.
Thumbnail downloader
Paste a link and see every standard thumbnail size YouTube has for the video, with real dimensions. Missing sizes are detected and labelled instead of showing a grey placeholder. Download, open or copy the image link.
Chapter timestamp checker
Paste rough chapter notes and get a clean list, checked against YouTube's four chapter rules, ready to paste into your description.
Description builder
Fill in the opening lines, chapters, links, credits and hashtags, and get a tidy description with a live 5,000-character count and hashtag warnings.
Transcript to SRT converter
Convert your own transcript into SRT, WebVTT or plain text. It uses your timestamps if every line has one, or spaces the lines evenly if not.
Why only four tools?
This site used to list nine tools. We removed five of them in October 2026: a keyword suggester, a title generator, a tag extractor, an "SEO score" checker and a channel stats calculator. They produced generic or made-up output, such as template titles, arbitrary scores and "health" labels from sample numbers, and we didn't think they were genuinely useful. We'd rather offer a few tools that work properly, each with clear instructions and accurate information about YouTube's real rules.
The old "Subtitle Downloader" is now the Transcript to SRT converter. That's what it always did: it never downloaded subtitles from YouTube.

How the tools handle your data
All four tools are plain JavaScript that runs on your own device. What you paste or type isn't sent to our server. The thumbnail downloader loads images from YouTube's image server (i.ytimg.com), so YouTube receives those requests just as it does when you browse YouTube. Our privacy policy has the details, including how advertising cookies are handled.
